What is Outer Orbit?
Outer Orbit is a private-feeling chat app for meeting and staying in touch. You can connect through QR codes instead of exchanging phone numbers or social handles.
Do I need a phone number or social account?
No. Outer Orbit is designed around anonymous accounts and QR invites. The information needed to create an account may change as the product evolves; we’ll explain any required details clearly in the app.
How does a QR connection work?
Open your QR code in Outer Orbit and let someone scan it, or scan theirs. Once accepted, the connection appears in your orbit so you can chat. Treat an active invite like a private introduction and revoke it when you no longer want it available.
Can I remove someone from my orbit?
Yes. You can remove a connection from your address book or orbit. Removing a connection does not necessarily delete messages already delivered to another person’s device.
How do I delete my account?
Use the account controls in the app when available, or contact support. We’ll verify the request and explain any information that must be retained for legal, security, or operational reasons.
Is Outer Orbit available now?
Outer Orbit is being prepared for launch. Check myouterorbit.com for updates and availability.
How can I report a safety or abuse concern?
Contact us with the relevant details as soon as possible. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
